The DRAGON ROSE  is My First Guitar-- I Carved it from 3 'Peace' Jatoba Neck thru Bubinga Body into the TOLKIEN DRAGON & AMERICAN BEAUTY ROSE Singing Songs of PEACE & LOVE!!!   Can You See into the EYE of the DRAGON???  Into the EYE of the MAKER???  SMILE!!!

Both Sides of the Headstock are Carved in Exquisite Detail--the Dragon's Claw Grasping at the Rose with the RoseVine going around & thru the Bocote Claws & Grover Machines  with Abalone ButterFly Inlaid on Truss Rod Cover!!!

I Carved the DRAGON'S ROSE from Wax & Cast into Sterling Silver!!!  I Carved Both Sides like the Guitar & I will soon Finish a Silver Dragon Rose Guitar!!!   Shown here about Life Size--the ROSE  Weighs about 2 Ounces!!!  See DOCTOR BIRDS GUITAR & JEWELRY--PAIR OF DOCTOR BIRDS   &  DOCTOR BIRD for More!!!

I Cut Up the Abalone to Inlay & Used the Center Coloured for the Leaves at the Positions & the Outer Whiter for the Vine & Thorns with ButterFly Inlaid on Truss Rod Cover!!!  The Side Dots are Abalone!

 

 

I Carved the Dragon from a 3 Piece Jatoba Neck thru Bubinga Body--I Hand Made BRIDGE & Truss Rod!  The Dragon's Sound comes from Bartolini PickUps Wired Series & Parallel!  The Back Plate & PU Rings are Rosewood & the Knobs, Truss Rod Cover & FingerBoard  Inlaid with Abalone--the Nut Brass & Abalone!  The Teethes are of CowBone & the EYE is Bocote & Abalone!  You can see My Initials : PJH Inlaid on the Back with Bocote & an Abalone Violin!!!
